Macro, Credit Funds to Gain from Hedge Dollars on the Move

The majority of hedge fund investors are keeping their overall allocations to the asset class steady during 2019, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be picking new managers. Growth for hedge fund managers in 2019 could come from reallocations, as investors target new strategies and dive further into areas such as co-investments, according to new reports.

Discussions have turned away from ‘we are tired of fees’ to ‘what role should hedge funds be playing in portfolios,’ says Stuart Blair, director of research at Canterbury Consulting. “It’s more of staying the course,” he says of client hedge fund allocations.
