Consultant

A Canterbury consultant is a highly driven individual who excels in both business development and relationship management, and has a strong understanding of the role of an investment consultant. Canterbury's niche market is in the foundations and endowments arena. Additionally, we consult to retirement plan sponsors, family offices and high net worth individuals. The ideal candidate will have previous consulting experience in one of the aforementioned areas. The position of Consultant requires an exceptionally motivated individual who is willing to work hard, is passionate about client service and who wants to be rewarded for building his or her own business. The individual must have strong communication and quantitative skills and the ability to work independently as every consultant is responsible for helping design specific, long-term investment solutions appropriate to each unique client situation.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, a "client first" approach to time management and resilience with regard to the business development cycle. Ideally, the candidate will be skilled and comfortable with networking and have leveraged contacts from prior business and personal relationships from which to draw on. Most importantly, the consultant must have the ability to both build long-term, trust-based relationships with clients as well as build consensus among the various committee / board members and decision makers associated with each client. As a consultant at Canterbury, you will become a member of the Manager Research Committee and you will partner with another senior consultant on each client relationship to maintain the high level of service for which Canterbury is known.

An M.B.A. or CFA designation is strongly preferred but not required for consideration.
