
Mr. Newton came to Canterbury in 2008 with a wealth of experience in Finance and Accounting. Prior to Canterbury, Mr. Newton was the CFO at Spectrum Bank, a Southern California community bank with $170 million in assets and three branches. While there, he partnered with the Executive Management and Board of Directors to provide financial expertise for growth strategies and profitability, he implemented internal controls and regulatory policies to maintain compliance integrity and he supervised an operations team of 24 employees. He left Spectrum Bank after guiding it through a successful merger. Prior that, Mr. Newton was the director of Finance at ARAMARK Healthcare in Irvine from 2000 to 2006 and a Finance Manager at First American Real Estate Information Technology from 1998 to 2000. Mr. Newton began his career at Unocal Corporation and worked in a series of accounting and finance positions. Mr. Newton has an undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University.
Ms. Gratteau came to Canterbury in 2002 to lead the
firm’s marketing effort. Current responsibilities include event
planning, all forms of client communication and contact database management.
Previously, she was with the Los Angeles office of Sanford C. Bernstein & Co.,
Inc. where she was responsible for event planning and marketing for
the South West region. Ms. Gratteau is a graduate of the University
of California at Los Angeles. Shareholder.
Mr. Kim joined Canterbury in 1997 as a performance analyst. In October of 1998, he took over all Information Technology
operations. Mr. Kim is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles, and holds his MCSE and CCNA certifications.
